Privacy

Last updated 30 October 2026.

watercut.live has no accounts, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts today. The pincode search runs in your browser, and “Use my location” only compares your position with a list already on your phone; it is never sent to us. Your last-viewed pincode is remembered on your device so you can get back to it quickly.

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability, under its own privacy policy.

Phone numbers shown on the site are the official numbers that water boards publish for the public. If one of them is yours and you want it removed, send a request through thecontact form and we will take it down within 15 days.

Contact form

Messages are stored with their topic, text, the optional pincode and the time. If you add your email, it is used only to reply to you and is deleted once your message is dealt with. The form uses the same Cloudflare Turnstile check as the reports below.

Offline pages and the complaint helper

Pages you open are saved on your own phone so they work offline. The complaint helper and calendar reminders run on your phone too: we never receive what you type there.

Supporting the developer

A coffee is paid directly through your UPI app. It doesn't pass through this site, and we don't record who paid. As with any UPI payment, the person receiving it can see your name.

Water and tanker price reports

When you press "Water came", "Low pressure" or "Dry tap", or share a tanker price, we store only the pincode, your choice (or the litres and price) and the time. We don't store your IP address or anything else about you. Counts, the typical price and a feed of recent reports (pincode, choice and time) are shown to everyone. Reports and prices are deleted after 30 days.

To keep out bots, sending a report uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser and sees your IP address under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our server also keeps your IP address in memory for up to an hour to limit repeat reports; it is never written to disk or a database.

If this changes, for example when ads are added, this page will say so first.
